We are delighted to see the Autumn Walking Festival returning from 19th September - 4th October. A fabulous opportunity to explore lesser known areas of the Islands, learn from an expert and enjoy the great outdoors.
There are walks to suit all ages and interests, plus the opportunity to visit Herm and Sark.
Some of the newly introduced walks include Monks, Pirates and Militia in the Fief de Blanchelande, a very interesting walk from Les Douvres to Saints Bay and the Good Ship Food Ship, an insight into events on 27 December 1944 when the islanders saw the red cross Vega in the roadsteads with its lifesaving supplies.
Families can enjoy a fun filled morning at the Guet, hearing all about the different fairies in Guernsey, including the 26 Fairies of The Guet, then follow a fun picture treasure hunt and finishing with a sweet treat!
Carla Bauer, co-organiser of the Walking Festival said "this Autumn Festival gives locals the opportunity to find out even more about the treasure trove on our doorsteps and with the Guides offering significant discounts on many of the tours, its a great time to book."
The Autumn Walking Festival is a fantastic time to grab your walking boots, blow away those cobwebs and explore our Islands. You could even treat yourself to a cosy refreshment afterwards or add it as an excursion to your staycation!

Thank you to all the organisers for your hard work!
